01

A pattern does not remove uncertainty

Every chart setup can fail. Historical patterns are observations, not promises. A sensible process begins by deciding what loss, time commitment, and uncertainty you can accept before looking for a reason to act.

02

Separate idea quality from exposure

You can find a chart interesting and still decide that the exposure is too large. Define the amount of capital at risk, the point where your original idea would no longer hold, and the maximum total exposure that fits your own circumstances.

03

Write the decision before the outcome

Record what you observed, what would change your view, and what information you deliberately did not use. Reviewing this note later is more useful than judging a decision only by whether its outcome was favorable.

04

Use education, not signals
